The First State Surgery Center takes its commitment to provide charity care to the less fortunate in our community very seriously. The staff of the Surgery Center pro-actively contacts social service agencies, community centers, and schools several times a year in search of the uninsured or under insured in the state who are healthy enough to have outpatient orthopaedic surgery.   Our surgeons provide charity care through the office, the Emergency Department, the Spine Clinic at Wilmington Hospital and the Orthopaedic Clinic at Wilmington Hospital. First State Surgery Center wants to do more than its share, so if you know someone who needs our charitable surgical services, please contact:
